無氣噴砂機(jī)能對平板類金屬工件進(jìn)行表面清理、表面前處理、表面光飾等表面處理。無氣噴砂機(jī)能夠加工處理的平板類金屬工件的尺寸：工件的寬度可以是600mm，1000mm，1250mm，1400mm，1800mm，2500mm；工件的長度不限。
目前金屬或非金屬平面的表面除銹、亞光效果處理的基本方式是化學(xué)方式和機(jī)械加工方式兩大類。這兩種方式都不同程度上存在環(huán)境污染、損耗多、效率低等問題。
噴砂的動力為采縮空氣，在加工同樣寬度的幅面時(shí)功率消耗較大，加工出來的表面的均勻性及光澤度偏差也較大。拋丸設(shè)備是由核心部件拋丸器采用離心拋射原理來處理工件，對工件形狀及材質(zhì)都有嚴(yán)格要求，且加工同幅面的工件時(shí)設(shè)備較大。這兩種機(jī)械加工方式在加工薄板時(shí)都很難處理好變形問題。
無氣噴砂機(jī)利用從高壓風(fēng)機(jī)吹出的氣流在出砂口前端產(chǎn)生負(fù)壓，吸動從砂嘴口落下的砂料，再在后續(xù)氣流的推動下吹到工件表面，由于砂嘴的孔徑一定且在下砂嘴本體上布置的間距一定，保證了吹砂加工的均勻性。其與已有技術(shù)相比，不需要酸堿腐蝕等化學(xué)處理，減少了環(huán)境污染，能耗較低；加工成本低，工件變形量小，產(chǎn)品表面加工效果均勻度高、表面質(zhì)量好。
